Senior Community Service Employment Program
The Senior Community Service Employment Program provides useful, paid, part-time community service training assignments for older, low-income Baltimore residents in order to promote the transition to unsubsidized employment. Eligible seniors are placed with government or non-profit agencies for on-site training.

Services
The program enrolls citizens of Baltimore City, 55 years of age or older who meet the federal poverty guidelines. Upon meeting the qualifications for enrollment, individuals are placed in non-profit or government agencies (referred to as Host Agencies) for training. It is hoped that this training will enable them to re-enter the workforce. While in training the seniors are paid $6.15 per hour and are required to train a minimum of 20 hours per week.
