Office of Public Health Preparedness and Response

The Office of Public Health Preparedness and Response (OPHPR) works with federal, state, and local government to develop plans and policies to prepare for and respond to public health emergencies, such as bioterrorist incidents, natural disasters, and disease outbreaks, that might impact Baltimore City.  OPHPR also collaborates with health care facilities and academic partners in Baltimore City to coordinate responses to emergencies, and conducts outreach to educate the community about emergency preparedness.
