The Assisted Living Unit processes new applications and license renewals for assisted living facilities with three beds or less in Baltimore City.

Services
A nurse surveyor inspects assisted living facilities to determine whether assisted living program applicants meet state licensing requirements. Completed applications are then submitted to the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Office of Health Care Quality, which is the licensing agency for assisted living programs.
